Bridie-3.jpg

Care Home Portrait

Bridie was a charming Irish lady in her nineties. Her dementia was advanced, but at a peaceful and calm stage. Her eyes still had a sparkle, and she’d hum “It’s a long way to Tipperary” at the drop of a hat.

The challenge was to make sympathetic photographs of Bridie herself, along with one of her daughters and two of her grand-daughters. All within the communal area of a care home, with mixed lighting and with the main subject keen to drink tea, eat biscuits and enjoy cake…

Bridie is no longer with us but her memories live on and the family are so glad of those precious photographs made a few months before her passing.
